Support Night Shift and f.lux for Mac OS
As documented, there is work underway for Windows to support f.lux. However, I haven't seen any clear communication that support Night Shift of f.lux on Mac OS is in the works as neither are supported via DisplayLink. It would be really nice to have these options on Mac.
Blue light reduction on DL-3000, DL-5000 and DL-6000 series delivered via f.lux and DisplayLink Manager 1.7

f.lux is available from https://justgetflux.com.
Should you have questions or meet issues, please create a support ticket by emailing technical-enquiries@synaptics.com as individual cases can't be analysed through the idea board.

If this isn't in the pipeline, I'm going to have to return my plugable dock due to lack of f.lux/night shift support on MacOS.

I just came across this thread and I experience the same problem. I set up my third monitor via DisplayLink and was confused why the colors were so different. Thanks to this thread I now know the reason.
Support for night shift would be highly appreciated.

Considering this is from 2017, I just don't understand how this hasn't been sorted yet?!
Just spent money on a definitely not cheap Dell adapter, and night shift isn't supported...
This really is a must have, I can understand why it's right up at number 2 on the wish list. Can any admins comment as to when this will be available please?

i just bought displaylink adaptor to connect external monitor to my mac and night shift or f.lux doesnt work!! As a developer i spent most of my time in front of screens and night mode was the only one, to ease pain in the eyes. it is a shame that i paid over 100£ for this adaptor but can`t get full functionality out of it! Even 10£ ebay adaptor was able to do it, it is just unbeliavable.. Currently this issue is second from top, on this forum. Anyone is having this issue please leave vote so we can move it up to first place. Thanks

It is ridiculous that I'm getting the feature through a $15 cable but not a $200 dock. Feedback has been "gathering" for 4 years, support "planned" for almost a year. This needs to be supported NOW.

Just FYI for the people finding this from a Google Search. No macOS + displaylink will not support f.lux nor screen rotation on the M1 macs.
