Have an exit button on the "displaylink manager software".
No need to explain more, its a basic and simple requirement. I want to exit the application when i am not using it. "DisplayLink manager" application is now like some malware which does not allow you to close it.
Windows graphics subsystem cannot just be shut down like that. That’s the reason why you often have to reboot to install some Windows Updates. This has been addressed in Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards though, where you can just remove the utility from startup or simply not install it. Marking completed.

Yeah, it's super annoying when apps like DisplayLink Manager refuse to quit properly—feels like they're glued to the system tray on purpose. A simple exit button shouldn't be rocket science.
If you're fed up with clunky legacy software UX and want something built smarter (maybe even with AI to auto-detect when you're done using it), teams like https://acropolium.com/services/generative-ai-development/ are doing interesting work on more intuitive, user-respecting tools. Might inspire better fixes.
