Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Will you be supporting Ubuntu 16.04 LTS? Got an ETA?
It would be great if you would add/post a deb or even better a ppa site.
Thanks,
Dennis
V1.1 of the Ubuntu driver is now available, which supports 16.04.

I am getting red and blue stripes instead of a picture on an LT1421WD connected to a Dell XPS13 running Ubuntu 4.15.0-47-generic.
I have installed teh latest driver and tried workaround 2 from here http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1181623.
How could I get the USB display working? -

On Ubuntu 16.04 displaylink-driver-1.4.210. Is rotation to be supported?

Well, just worked out one time. However, this thread helps out. For me, the first answer worked already. I'm using a Thinkpad X1 Carbon and two external displays.

With Workaround 2 from here http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1181623 I've got everything to work under the latest Ubuntu 16.04.03 with kernel 4.10.0-38.

DisplayLink driver is taking up too much CPU. With two monitors connected it goes up to 60%. Even without any external monitor it is constantly on 15%. This is with Ubuntu 16.04.03 on an HP Pro Book 650 and using a Fujitsu PRO8.
Any known solution?

Beware of the last Ubuntu 16.04.3 kernel update broke the dlm service - unable to start anymore. Reinstalling the driver doesn't help. Just stick with 4.10.0-35 instead of the latest 4.10.0-37.

Hi everyone. I have a Lenovo Yoga 710-15IKB, Ubuntu 16.04, and a Lenovo Thinkpad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock-US. I followed the installation guide (http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/684649-how-to-install-displaylink-software-on-ubuntu), update and upgrade the system, and then did the Workaround 1 from here (http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1181623-displaylink-ubuntu-driver-after-recent-x-upgrades). Here's an update that got it up and working for me. After making sure Ubuntu was completely updated and I downloaded and installed the latest release from DisplayLink, I had to manually start the dlm.service. So, I ran "systemctl start dlm.service" to get it started and then I ran "systemctl enable dlm.service" in order for it to start up on restart. Everything seems to be working fine now although I did have to run a couple of xrandr commands in order to re-align the placements of the screens. The link that Wim pointed me towards via an email did not correct the issue for me.

Same thing is happening with my setup as well. Everything was working fine and I just updates my system and now I'm only seeing a mouse, sometimes the desktop wallpaper, and application windows are no longer visible. This is killing productivity and my work efficiency which is why I got this setup in the first place.

DisplayLink monitors do not work after upgrade to the latest Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS. Xorg server crashes, system restarts it, mouse works on DisplayLink monitors, desktop wallpaper may be visible sometimes, but windows are not visible.

Worked well after the initial installation of Ubuntu 16.04, and stopped working after upgraded all packages to 16.04.03. Xorg crashes, monitors get initialized, but I can see only mouse moving: windows are not visible on DisplayLink-connected monitors

HP Pavilion here, Ubuntu 16.04, kernel 4.4, can make several peripherals work (mouse, keyboard, etc), but external monitors are not recognized at all. Tried everything, all updates and newest drivers, but the support center knows nothing about Linux problems... ANY IDEA???

I tried this latest driver with Ubuntu 16.04.03 LTS on my Samsung series 7 Ultrabook. I have a Fujitsu PR08 USB 3.0 port replicator. Did not work. The installation went ok following the instructions and I can have one first screen visible on my second screen. Regardless if I want to use the external screen only or both screens, the screen freezes and does not work. Any ideas?

I've bought the above mentioned configuration. Unfortunately the drivers don't support the monitors very well. There are only two supported and it is necessary to use the xorg-drivers as the nvidia drivers lead to blank screens with the D3100. With the xorg-drivers everything is really slow and things like flickering mouse pointers and such is happening all time.
Would appreciate it if there would be support for this configuration (Maybe the whole new generation of Dell Notebooks should be kept in mind).
