Support rotation on M1 Macs
Update to enable rotation to work correctly on M1 Macs.
DisplayLink Manager 1.6 or newer (https://synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos) on macOS 12 Monterey now enables display rotation on Apple M1 computers (details in https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1984314 )
For issues with this new functionality, please reach out to Technical-Enquiries@Synaptics.com so the team can investigate through a technical support ticket.

Hello, I hope this feature come back soon, I can use only 1 monitor :(

@Gaz, you need to get advice from Caldigit on this product not using DisplayLink technology.

Hello There,
I have got M1 MacBook Pro and a caldigit ts3 plus dock with two Dell monitors. I have first monitors plug into caldigit USB-C TB3 and works and trying to plug second monitors via Display port which is not working. I am not sure if DisplayLink driver 1.3 is working in my Mac too as it says No monitor detected.
Could you help how I can bring second monitor into a life?
Thanks in advance.Gaz

Have M1 Air. DisplayLink works sometimes and not other times. Usually a reboot works but that is failing now all the time.

I can't click the "3 votes" button because of JavaScript errors on the page. But I would pay for 3,000 votes to get this feature working.

1.3 still locks up on rotation. This needs fixed.

I am also having this problem "Each time the Macbook screen flickers, then takes me back to the login Login Window. It closes any/all open apps as well."
And add me to the list of those waiting for the M1 rotation implementation.

Does the latest 1.3 address rotation at all?

Yes please. I switch between systems and displaylink has been a big help. But since I upgraded to an M1 Mac I've been limited to just 1 out of my 3 monitors.

Please update your software so we can rotate our displays connected by Displaylink to portrait mode. Considering the cost of the adapter/dongle, one would expect this to work out of the box!

do we have an ETA for fix?

Agree, waiting for rotation that works with Big Sur, and Ideally rotation with normal working speed (I'm still running Catalina with DisplayLink legacy driver: rotation works, but as per other comments, painfully slow)

I'm using the above and it works pretty well except for 2 things: a) if my macbook air M1 is connected, I get a message saying the screen is being observed and won't unlock with my apple watch. b) since BS 11.2, I have to reboot the computer a couple of times a day to use Hangout and Zoom because they both hang.
