Hi since the Windows 10 Anniversary update games or utilities i have in Steam valve dont seem to use the GPU on my laptop but instead use intel graphic the laptop i have is a Lenovo Y5042 votes
The change is needed in the operating system kernel mode graphics driver. Microsoft is looking into scheduling this development. In the meantime, provided you have purchased a platform allowing you to, the workaround is to disable the low end GPU so Windows uses the only one left. Today, Windows will always use the POST graphics card.
Flux will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the screen which aids going to bed. As it stands, there is no support for color calibration to DisplayLink connected monitors. DCC/CI commands are supported, but there are issues that make it not a viable solution (http://superuser.com/questions/257606/is-there-a-work-around-to-configure-brightness-or-color-on-a-displaylink-monitor).779 votes
The testing of the release has shown a few important flaws in both the implementation of Windows 7 and Windows 10. Unfortunately, this means the feature is far from being good enough to release in 8.3. Work continues on top of finding out why the flaws were found so late in the development.
I have increased Mouse lag since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink Driver 8.0 Update. I have a 3-screen Setup here. Surface Pro 3 + the DisplayLink USB Docking Station with 2 additional Screens. Working on those 2 external Screens got a bit tedious since the W10 Redstone / DisplayLink 8.0 Update. Maybe I´m too sensitive, but I feel enough mouse lag on the external Screens to slow down my daily work a bit. I´m using the DisplayLink Adapter since 2 years now and there were highs and lows regarding lag, but Version 7.9 on Windows 10 1511 was really good. Now with the new Windows / Driver Version (and the new Driver model?) it got worse.

8.1 release has started to bring improvements, 8.2 continued to build on this.
Please make the usb driver highsierra (macOS 10.13) compatible! At the moment, I can see my mouse, moving on the monitor, everything other than that is just black. It would be bvery nice if I could use this monitor on highsierra!16 votes
We looking into 10.13 compatibility now the beta is available. Our 4.0 Alpha driver is now available to use on High Sierra. It is available to download from our forum http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65395
Suggestion: The DisplayLink Manager TrayIcon should show even if the hardware is not detected. In that case, it should provide links to helpful KB articles (or better yet, include the troubleshooting steps offline).
That would have saved me about three hours of troubleshooting a 3rd-party (LizTek) product before I finally stumbled on this site.1 vote
Thank you for the suggestion. Now in implementation on v8.0 of our drivers. This will help the debugging by telling which element of the chain is missing. Today, the icon is only visible if drivers are installed, AND a device using DisplayLink technology is connected and running AND a working monitor is plugged into it.
I have a laptop connected with an external monitor through a USB dock. It seems that DisplayLink does not support LUT as the ICC profile creation software (XRite i1Profiler) cannot complete the ICC profile creation for the secondary monitor connected through the USB Dock. The software works fine if I connect the monitor directly to the laptop HDMI port.7 votes
Support for gamma LUT is being added to some devices. See the idea on supporting f.lux.
HI, Let customers decide WHEN to install new drivers. (Automatic driver update messes up my 4 + 1 monitor trading station.) Thanks.
(the automatic updates re-arrange and resize everything on my screens causing me headache. The driver should be updater when no windows left opened / programmes running.)1 vote
I understand this is a problem and we already have a change in behaviour for our next major release.
This will cause the software update to happen over the next reboot, rather than immediately while you are working.
