Use GPU rendering to lower CPU usage
Can we access the GPU to take advantage of OpenGL, etc, to avoid the heavy CPU (and laptop battery) usage?
DisplayLink software already checks the CPU and GPU resources available on a platform and uses these to provide the best user experience possible.
This is why some compatibility issues can be resolved by updating to the latest graphics drivers available for your primary graphics card,

It'd be great if external GPU's were also taken into consideration.
