I suggest you ...

fix the random logout issue with Displaylink on a Macbook pro

My idea is that the driver is usable without logging me out because the display server crashes on my MBP. This happens once or twice a week causing me to lose work, get disconnected from meetings, etc.

I'm also having this issue still and its well over a year later. This happens when you minimize an application like iTunes and I've noticed that it happens when the dock is in a different window than the application.

I am running 10.11.3 and just got the Dell D3100 Dual Display Dock and it happened twice to me today and any clue how this can be fixed?

I also have this exact same problem. It's definitely a problem with the DisplayLink driver crashing on at least newer versions of OS X.

If you do not plan on fixing this I'll start looking for another product because it is totally unacceptable losing work due to a driver crashing.

If it indeed is impossible to fix this on newer OS versions (which I highly doubt) please give some specifics to why that is impossible. Just because your driver is incompatible with newer versions of the OS does not really mean that it's not your problem...

Even if I dont know the "real" reason of that issue, It's never a good answer to wait for an OS Update. The supplier of tires also not wait for a new car model to fix a problem.
