Add an Option to Preserve Window Positions After Reconnecting Displays
Many DisplayLink users work with laptops that are frequently disconnected and reconnected to docking stations throughout the day.
Currently, when a DisplayLink monitor is disconnected and then reconnected, application windows are often moved, resized, or transferred to different displays. This can be frustrating, especially for users who work with multiple monitors and keep specific applications on specific screens.
It would be very helpful if DisplayLink Manager included an option to remember and restore window positions automatically when the same monitor configuration is detected again.
Benefits of this feature:
Faster workflow after reconnecting a dock
Improved multi-monitor productivity
Reduced need to manually rearrange windows
Better experience for hybrid and remote workers
Many modern operating systems are improving window restoration, but having this functionality integrated directly into DisplayLink would provide a more consistent experience across devices and docking stations.
