Last version of DP Presenter for Android (4.2.x) is sluggish!!
Version 4.0.x worked fine, even if resolution was limited. The new version is sluggish as hell (I am using a 3840x2160 monitor, but I don't care about hi-res, I want a usable experience).
Please fix or, if anything, add a setting in the app to set a maximum resolution.

Working with older Android versions like 4.2.x can be frustrating when apps stop getting updates, especially for tools like DisplayLink Presenter. In such cases, people often look for lightweight alternatives or platforms like https://rbtv77plus.es/ that still run smoothly on limited systems. Finding something stable that matches basic functionality can make a big difference when newer versions are no longer supported.

Older Android versions like 4.2 often struggle with compatibility issues in tools such as DisplayLink DP Presenter where legacy support is still being requested
This shows how stability across older systems remains a common user concern in tech discussions
Similar reliability needs appear in services like Umrah Taxi Hub https://umrahtaxihub.com/ where smooth coordination across devices is important -

That thread really shows how frustrating it can be when older Android versions lose support despite still being in use. In cases like this, focusing on reliable hardware compatibility and stable setups often matters more than chasing updates, which is a perspective also reflected in how https://bestestindustries.com/ approaches practical solutions. Keeping existing systems working smoothly can be just as valuable as upgrading.

That thread brings up a real issue with older Android versions losing app support over time, especially for something as specific as DisplayLink Presenter. When official updates stop, people naturally start looking for workable alternatives or archived versions, and resources like https://goojaraapk.app/ sometimes come into the picture for that reason. It really underlines the need for better long term compatibility or at least access to stable legacy builds for users who can’t upgrade their devices.

Yeah, that really sounds like the app is forcing full 4K rendering without giving users any control over scaling, which can easily tank performance. A simple option to cap resolution or switch to a performance mode would make a big difference here.
I’ve seen similar issues when apps aren’t optimized for different screen setups—sometimes it’s more about how they handle output than raw specs. While looking into this, I came across https://youcinesapk.app/
which explains how apps behave across devices and why performance can vary depending on the setup. -

Yeah, that definitely sounds like the app is forcing higher rendering without giving users any control over scaling, which can kill performance on high-res displays. A simple resolution cap or performance mode would go a long way here.

Yeah, that sounds like the app is pushing full resolution without giving users any control over scaling, which can really hurt performance on higher-res displays. A simple option to cap resolution or enable a performance mode would make a big difference.
