remove the need to have screen recording turned on
remove the need to have screen recording turned on this is just poor programming on your part as other companies don't do this and it very bad for security

Totally agree with you. Not to mention their support is horrible. I've written them 10x about this and haven't heard back. I'm reporting them to the FTC and AG. Any company selling their device should watch out for a massive class action lawsuit.

Not only is it a massive security hole but to be fair why would any protected content provider be happy either. It makes no sense other than yet another API or layer that gets in the way and opens up another security attack surface....
The suggested work around to getting cast protected content is to turn off your video solution? I wish I could have told my customers to fix your issue is to turn our device off. Does the product department understand how that statement reads to your customers? To do my work I must turn off your device...
I'm stumped on how any of this makes sense.

Seriously bad security.
I'm certain this is unnecessary. Even if the programming requires fair amount of effort, this is simply an unacceptable security risk, so much so I consider it a major flaw.
