I have this issue. Is there an estimated time for when this bug will be fixed? Please resolve it.

This looks like a problem that appeared back in the kext driver days and does not affect too many users, however, there are some. Thread to be closed and bug to be addressed.

I have this issue but not with restart only once disconnecting and reconnecting monitors. Does the fixing script resolve this ?

Unplug the dock and restart your machine to make it operational again.
Download fixing script from website: https://synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macOS-display-persistence-reset.
Unpack the archive, so that you have ResetDisplayPrefs.command in your Downloads folder.
Run Terminal and execute these commands to run the script:
cd ~/Downloads
chmod +x ResetDisplayPrefs.command
sudo ./ResetDisplayPrefs.command
The script has to be run with administrator privileges, this is required to forcefully delete defective system settings. Type in your password and press enter.
The script will display list of display-related settings files that will be deleted and will ask for confirmation before proceeding.
After confirmation the script will delete those files, forcing MacOS to recreate them from scratch.
After the script finishes it will ask you to reboot your machine. You can plug in your dock after reboot and the issue should be resolved.

I have this issue running DisplayLink Manager 1.6.0 Beta build 59.110. Is there a workaround? Before I upgraded to the beta version, I did not have this problem.

This issue is super annoying, and a number of customers have already posted here. Can someone from DisplayLink at least acknowledge the issue and let us know if it is on the roadmap to be fixed? Does anyone from DisplayLink monitor this forum at all?

Same issue here. It doesn't do it every restart, but often enough. M1 iMac 4 external displays. Using Targus USB-C Universal Quad 4K (QV4K) Docking Station (DOCK570USZ)

+1 for macbook pro 16 2020 with Dell D6000 running triple monitors (1x4k and 2xFHD). Desperately looking for this to work, don't want to shell out for the thunderbolt pluggable triple dock now.

Same behaviour here with MacMini M1 - you have to rearrange the monitors on restart. Any ideas on fixes?

I'm having the same issue, although with mine it forgets the arrangement randomly throughout the day, driving me crazy... Mac M1 mini with 2 30" Apple Cinema Displays...

Same issue here using MacBook Pro and Dell D6000 (times two to support 5 external displays). Incredibly frustrating.

This is a pain in the rear, I've been trying to solve this issue for a month now with no end. One the Mac goes to sleep, I have to rest the monitors back in place through system preference, security , screen, and a lot others step for it to set things back. I lose a lot of time when I step away.

Same problem for me, along with the Clamshell closed lid problem mentioned elsewhere. Everytime I reattach my universal dock, it has forgotten the arrangement I saved the last time and I have to redo it. Very frustrating because the three monitors end up in the completely wrong arrangement. :(

+1 super frustrating. I'm on v0.5.25
Haven't tested the Nov 2019 driver build - v0.5.25 didn't come with a clean uninstaller.

What is the status of this fix. Numerous problems with my D6000 and my new MacBook Air. My screens constantly rearrange and there is a mysterious extra forth screen showing in the Display settings. Apps will frequently "pop-up" on the fourth mysterious screen and I can only find them by unplugging the D6000 and then plugging it back in - note have to rearrange the screen after that process. The MacBook and D6000 are too expensive to have these issues. This should be solved by Apple/Displaylink ASAP.
