I've recently switched to Linux again with equipment I've been using fine with Windows. Now I find there is all these nagging issues which in reality should not be a thing. I feel the lack of support is a plot to sabotage the success of Linux or maybe just to prevent people using DisplayLink products. At least I can easily switch my cable out for a HDMI, which will be the case. I feel for those people who do not have that option available to them. So disappointing.

What a bad idea was to invest time and money to DisplayLink products. After I spent 20 hours to make this crap work on linux with my hybrid nvidia+intel laptop, I still have to burn out my eyes at nights. Total waste. This shit product will go to anvil soon when i have appropriate hammer.

I am using Lenovo Hybrid Docking Station (USB-C/USB-A) and Ubuntu 20.04. Since DisplayLink can't render colors for external monitors, night light is not working. Moreover, the main display ( Laptop ) is also malfunctioning when night light is enabled. It would be great if night light can be enabled in Ubuntu OS.
