If you are finding that your device's Ethernet connection no longer works
Should you use an anti-virus like Symantec Endpoint Protection, if the device is present and working in Device Manager, please check that the LAN connection exists. If that connection is missing, then reinstall the driver without the anti-virus blocking the creation of the network adapter in Windows.- Open Device Manager
- Open Network adapters. If you cannot find it in this category, it may be under "Other devices"
- Right click on the Ethernet entry for your device
- Select Update Driver Software...
- Select Browse my computer for driver software
- Select Browse
- Browse to "C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software"
- Select "Include subfolders"
- Select Next
