add brightness support to non-windows OSes
It's stated in the documentation that color correction and brightness do not work. I'm mostly interested in controlling the birghtness - is display link working on these features for non-windows OSes?

Please provide support for DDC, this would be a great selling point for this software on macOS. This is one of the reasons for going with a Thunderbolt dock instead of a DisplayLink based one.

Please add support for DDC, so contrast of external displays can be adjusted on macOS using monitor control app.
Without this, two external displays driven by DisplayLink look different in their color/brightness/contrast from the one driven by native display engine. -

This is an extremely important workflow that is blocked for macOS users. I have HP G5 and this problem makes this dock station inferior to any other Thunderbolt hub simply due to lack of support of this feature.

This is really a required essential basic feature. I'm so stressed from this blocked workflow, while switching between Windows and MacOS Hardware each day

This issue has been "gathering feedback" for over 6 years. Please implement DDC/CI support on non-Windows OS's.
Thanks

I use Monitor Control to control the brightness of my monitors. I have recently moved from a 2018 MacBook Pro (Intel) to an M2 MacBook Air.
DisplayLink currently does not support DDC/CI on macOS, so MonitorControl has to use a shading layer to adjust the brightness, sub-optimal to say the least. (https://github.com/MonitorControl/MonitorControl/issues/582#issuecomment-917843942)
I would appreciate some focus on this to resolve the issue.

It would be truly wonderful. Especially DDC control over DysplayLink.

Initial flux support has made my DisplayLink setup usable on macOS. Full DCC/CI support for brightness and source selection would be an amazing next step.

I have sensitive eyes and often change my screen brightness during the day, and since I discovered DDC/CI it has made my life so much more convenient!
And I just bought a QGeeM hub thinking that it would support this but no, as I use Kubuntu on my personal computer and have a MacBook for work. I'd rather plug a separate cable than use the hub and not have DDC/CI, so now I'm thinking of returning the hub because I don't need an expensive one if I don't use it to connect my screen. -

Hello Sirs, could you please at least tell us how many votes & years of asking you need to make this feature work for non Windows users, please? Or at least you're thinking about it/it is on the roadmap or whether it is feasible to achieve at all? What's the purpose of a form to ask for a feature if there's no response? Thank you. (OSX user).

Please add DDC/CI support. It is stupid that when I connect my dock to my windows laptop, I can control the volume and brightness, but when I connect it to my M1 MacBook Pro it is not working. I see that this issue has been raised more than four years ago, so, I find it unacceptable that in this time you have not managed to implement this easy thing. IT IS CLEARLY A WANTED FEATURE!
