Support f.lux on Windows
Flux will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the screen which aids going to bed. As it stands, there is no support for color calibration to DisplayLink connected monitors. DCC/CI commands are supported, but there are issues that make it not a viable solution (http://superuser.com/questions/257606/is-there-a-work-around-to-configure-brightness-or-color-on-a-displaylink-monitor).
f.lux latest releases have enabled support for DisplayLink indirect displays (Windows 10)
You can download f.lux from https://justgetflux.com/
For the few wanted to do real monitor calibration, please contact technical_enquiries@displaylink.com to discuss how to enable this on your particular configuration.

OK, thanks.
Maybe I'm missing something then because my calibration do not seem to get applied to my monitors. Anything I need to do to make sure the settings are passed through?

@All. f.lux support is under analysis. We met with the f.lux developers to discuss an implementation which will keep working with new versions of f.lux.
We are trying to think about to support individual colour correction rather than just an identical gamma curve change applied to all displays. However, we don't yet if it is possible.@Andrew. DDC/CI pass-through on DL-3000 and DL-5000 was released as part of 8.0 M0 so has been available already.

I use the Datacolor Spyder monitor calibration.
As of Displaylink 8.1 I believe DCC/CI pass through is supported for DL-6950 devices only. Is that correct?
Any update on when this might be available for DL-5900 products?

I've resorted to a dirty manual WORKAROUND for this:
Using the OSD controls on the monitor itself to desaturate the green and blue until the colour matches the colour output of my laptop screen :-)
Not ideal, and my colleagues probably get a bit confused/upset when they encounter a hotdesk where I've made this change and forgotten to revert it.

@Viking, you do not need f.lux to change brightness. You can use Screenbright, a free utility which is already supported across all recent docking stations with DisplayLink technology.

I've been mistakenly stuck with a DisplayLink device without knowing I was purchasing one. The lack of F.lux support is the primary issue I have with the device. Reliably waking up from sleep is another issue, but the lack of F.lux due to color profiles is right up there as well.
I'm looking around for laptop to multiple monitors solutions and at present, wherever I see DisplayLink I'm moving on quicklky due to the colour profiles issue.
Can you provide an ETA on your progress on this? Your last update is half a year old.

Just set up a new Targus dockinstation that uses DisplayLink. Was really disappointed when I noticed that my f.lux isn't working and really considering returning the docking station because of it. When your eyes are used to f.lux, having full brightness all the time is really a pain

I've just become a huge fan of flux with the late night work I do and was VERY disappointed to see issues on my machine that had DisplayLink attached!

This would be very appreciated! Thanks for looking into it. I'm glad it's on the to-do. Is there anything we can test at the moment?

Could you provide us with any more information about the new interface in insider builds? I'd love to be able to track this more closely, or even be able to provide feedback via the feedback hub.

@Sergio, the comment about Windows 10 is not about applicability of the solution, but the reason for not having implemented it yet.
