A 2.5 Beta 3 is now available to download from our website here:

This should fix some of the issues that were found on the beta 2.

We have received a small number of reports from end users of problems using their DisplayLink device following installation of the v2.5 Beta 1 update. As a result we have revoked the v2.5 Beta 1 update and removed it from our website, while we investigate the extent and nature of the problem and the root cause.

Existing downloads of the v2.5 Beta 1 update should not be installed and should be deleted.

We have released a 2.5 Beta 1 for OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

We needed to change the USB driver in the DisplayLink driver for El Capitan, which was not a small change. This is why it has taken some time to get the first release for 10.11 out.

We are already testing with El Capitan.

Several El Capitan issues have been fixed by Apple in the recent 10.11 beta releases.

There are still some issues with device discovery and video output on some systems. We need to make some extensive changes to the DisplayLink driver to resolve those issues. We’ll create a pre-release as soon as the solution will be ready to be tried.

just installed OS X 10.11. i have 2.4 DL drivers and there is no video out put on my display link monitor. just reporting it here.

10.10.3 -- using latest drivers -- Installed the driver and the displaylink monitor shows up twice a two completely separate monitors! One shows up as using the actual name of the monitor and another "virtual" monitor (with the name "display link" appears. Unfortunately, if anything "appears" in the non-existing monitor you screwed because there is no way knowing its there (and if discovered) getting the app out except by putting the monitors in mirror mode!!

I've used your product for years in 10.9 and windows -- this is a real cockup of a driver -- your product is now unusable on the Mac. Can you please inform me when you fix this mess!

Recent Yosemite update 10.10.4 with driver 2.3 or 2.4beta2 appears to fail also (no video)

This just keeps getting worse and worse. Please figure it out, I'd like to upgrade from 10.8.5 already.
