Support rotation on M1 Macs
Update to enable rotation to work correctly on M1 Macs.
I too need rotation support. Please make it a priority.
Hello! I'd also really like to rotate one of my monitors. Please add support for this.

I just received my 4K monitor and set my old monitor through my USB 3.x Dock with DisplayLink, then I found there are no rotation options for the DisplayLink monitor :`(.
Please, I am thankful that DisplayLink makes M1 Mac possibly connect with 2nd external monitor, please kindly help add the rotation support!
If you're like me and you're here because you want to have 2 external monitors in clamshell mode and rotate one of them on a macbook pro M1, then i found a solution. Run one monitor through the displaylink and the other through a normal adapter. To do this, I use a USB-C adapter with USB ports and 1 HDMI. I connect the displaylink adapter to one of the USB ports on the adapter and the monitor I would like to rotate via the HDMI port. I then connect the other monitor to the displaylink adapter. Hope this helps as a workaround to anyone looking for a twin setup with rotate option on MacOS Big Sur 11.4 with the M1 chip.
My adapter finally arrived. I installed DisplayLink and hooked everything up, and then realized I can’t rotate my monitor! I am very thankful for this service, but having the ability to rotate would make it so much better.

I've opened a ticket in the past about this, but coming to voice my need for this on the Forum.
I also want to voice my displeasure for the release notes like SAM J below: Rotation Option was removed from the newest driver--- this includes the Intel MacbookAir version (which i used before my M1) and MBP i have now.
Dell D3100 docking station
I use a MacBook Pro M1 / 16 GB Ram (Big Sur 11.4/ DisplayLink Manager 1.4) with a Dell D6000 docking station. Very important for me is to use the rotate function for my second Dell U3219Q monitor. Is there already a target date from when the rotation option is available? Thanks, best regards Max
Any release date on this feature yet? Thanks!

Release notes are only mentioning "Screen rotation on Mac with Apple M1 chip is not supported on macOS Big Sur 11.1". Meanwhile we're on Big Sur 11.4 and there is no rotate option at all. Please fix. Bummer!
@james same here, no rotation available at all
Also doesn't work for me on my secondary monitor (Dell 24" 1080p). I'm surprised this still isn't fixed considering the need for it - support has been abysmal.
Having to use 2 monitors natively with my Mac Mini - third display is sitting not able to be used. I got this as the official documentation says it supports rotation, please update it as it clearly doesn't work. Was hoping to switch to an M1 MacBook Air but don't think that's happening until this is resolved.
Mac Mini 16GB Memory
Dock: Dell D6000
Display 1: LG 27UL650
Display 2: Dell U2419H
Display 2 set to rotate 90 degrees - displays black screen
Upgraded to version 1.4. Release note say that rotation has been improved. The rotation option is now completely missing for me. I guess technically speaking, a feature removed is better than one that stops the second display from showing anything?
This also shows my 4K monitor as being 1080P for some reason, even when I set the resolution to 4K...

@Joe com You can delete the com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist under /Library/Preferences to reset the displays to default (derotate). This should be part of DisplayLink's documentation.
I am able to rotate my primary monitor (Asus VG27AQ) with the latest displaylink driver but my secondary monitor is 1080p and I dont want that to be the main screen. I tried changing primary monitor to be the 1080p monitor but it didn't get rotated like the other monitor did. I dont know its weird.
Thanks everyone for commenting; I was _this_ close to buying a DisplayLink adapter but found this thread just in time. Thanks!
I roateted a monitor and now i can not plug it back again.
My system always logs out, when the monitor is connected.

I need the rotation function for the monitors, please implement this again.
Thank you very much!
Improved rotation on Macos? Looks like you removed the rotation completely....
Please fix this. Please.
