Support Ubuntu 18.04
Hi I'm inquiring about when support for Ubuntu 18.04 and the Linux 4.15 kernel. I sent a paper letter to the Palo Alto office, but have not received a response.
DisplayLink driver 5.1 for Ubuntu 18.04 is now available from our website: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/ubuntu

I am using a laptop with one usb c displayport alt mode port and one hdmi port. I connect 2 external monitors to the laptop and another monitor via displaylink adaptor i.e. 4 monitors in total in windows 10.
However when I try to do the same within Ubuntu, using the displaylink adaptor as the FOURTH screen will cause all screens to go haywire, i.e. all 4 screens will display the same 'messy' screen. if I unplug the Hdmi monitor, i.e only 3 screens in total, everything goes back to normal.
So I suspect that Ubuntu havent been coded to handle 4 screens within this setup.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? is there a manual setting to override the display configuration?

Unfortunately solution provided to disable "suspend on idle" did not resolve issue,
#### Disable audio suspend
* `sudo gedit /etc/pulse/default.pa`. Comment out the line indicated below.```
### Automatically suspend sinks/sources that become idle for too long
# load-module module-suspend-on-idle
```Have two ThinkVision HDMI monitors connected by Displaylink, neither is detected.
Display-Link does not detect connected monitors on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. I used displaylink-driver-4.4.24.run.
Thank you @Ablan, this is great news!
@C.Rogers, I installed but wherever my cursor is it freezes that portion of the image so that when I scroll a little box approx 50x50p stays put until i move it. I also experience an issue where the screens will go black for no reason. Hoping an official ubuntu driver will fix these issues. -
Get drivers working on Ubuntu 18.04
Sure, that's very easy. We worked with Google and are inboxed in Chrome OS images which are centrally managed. Ubuntu doesn't work like that.
