Support Night Shift and f.lux for Mac OS

As documented, there is work underway for Windows to support f.lux. However, I haven't seen any clear communication that support Night Shift of f.lux on Mac OS is in the works as neither are supported via DisplayLink. It would be really nice to have these options on Mac.

    It would be really amazing if you could implement this feature somehow dear displaylink team. True Tone and Nightshift mode (on mac) help us programmers stay sane :)

    Another M1 mbp DisplayLink user here, love having two external displays again but at night the bright blue color on just one of my displays is pretty glaring.

    A workaround for now for anyone else reading this post, manually switch to a custom color setting on the display itself at night. Mine is a Dell S3221QS and a setting that matches my particular night shift hue (middle of night shift slider) is below. Play around to get the one that works for you.

    With the M1 Mac just supporting one native Display a lot more people will switch to a DisplayLink solution so it would be time to add it for Mac as well.

    is it possible to also add support for True Tone ? ... it is supported for regular external displays in macOS ...

    The 1.3 update is out, and the feature is still not implemented. Any news on this? It would be really helpful.
