Please add DDC/CI support in 2022!!

have dual monitor on my M1 - Thunderbolt and Cinema Display running with Display link and I can only adjust brightness to one monitor.... please add support.

Please add this, I would use it!

Being able to control the volume on my Mac when connected to a monitor is a must have so please make this happen!

Yes, controlling brightness on my Apple LED Cinema Display 27" from my M1 Mac Mini is pretty important. Is there a workaround until you provide this feature?

Adding brightness control from the keyboard for monitors connected via DisplayLink adapters or DisplayLink docks is a greatly missed feature. I am using a DisplayLink dock with the M1 MacBook Air to connected to the 27" Apple LED Cinema Display (as my secondary display), and I can't control brightness on this monitor at all, as the Apple LED Cinema Display has no physical controls. The volume control of the speakers built in to the 27" Apple LED Cinema Display from the Apple Magic Keyboard works fine through the DisplayLink dock, but the brightness control of the 27" Apple LED Cinema Display from the Apple Magic Keyboard doesn't work through the DisplayLink dock.

DDC/CI management through Displaylink would make it very attractive to Apple M1 device owners (let alone be a nice feature for existing Apple device owners) because Apple is not currently making a suitable I2C API available to allow all Mac based apps which make use of DDC to communicate with displays.. in other words, there will be an incentive to connect to a display from a new Mac using a Displaylink adapter because if you allow access to DDC/CI you may allow support for monitor layout control signals to be passed when they can't otherwise be passed natively. As bigger displays become the norm and multi-input displays start to increase, you really want to support your adapters being part of providing those links.

Please add this feature. It's very important for people who work or study on linux to have adjustable lights on displays.

Please add this feature to support my HP ZR2740w display which does not have external buttons. I am using a Dell D6000 with the latest DL-6950 ASIC. Yes, it is an older display but continues to work well and has an excellent image. Windows 10 64 bit Pro 20H2 with latest drivers and bios.

This display requires a special HP Display port cable (729896-001) with AUXN pullup tp work with docking stations but oddly not when connecting directly to the computers DisplayPort or USB-C port. Of course my work supplied Dell 7490 only has 1 USB-C and an HDMI port on board so I can't connect directly without basically bypassing the dock.

This is a very important feature for large display arrays, as it's not practical to set every monitor by hand in a 6-up configuration, for example. Also, using DDC controls gives a different color balance than manual adjustment using the OSD, so colors no longer match -- forcing using manual adjustment on all monitors whether attached directly or via DisplayLink.

I'm running Debian Linux.

Please, add this feature. I am using USB to HDMI adapter with DisplayLink because my thunderbolt stopped working and not being able to change the brightness automatically via Lunar app is really painful at night. Just enable forwarding the DDC/CI messages please. Thank you

Mac M1 user - would like brightness control as my Cinema Display that is my second monitor. My main monitor is a Thunderbolt 27" and I have Brightness control on that one. Not having it makes both monitor look different.

You know that there's the brightness control button on a side of the display device? :)
I just got the DUEX Pro today and wanted to control its brightness too and didn't find how to so came here, but ta-da, just found the button on a side! :D
