Add DP to eDP support1 vote
We support some eDP transmitters on some chips. I recommend you contact a DisplayLink representative with your design requirements so your particular case can be looked into.
No need to explain more, its a basic and simple requirement. I want to exit the application when i am not using it. "DisplayLink manager" application is now like some malware which does not allow you to close it.1 vote
Windows graphics subsystem cannot just be shut down like that. That’s the reason why you often have to reboot to install some Windows Updates. This has been addressed in Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards though, where you can just remove the utility from startup or simply not install it. Marking completed.
extend the resolution to 3440 x 14401 vote
Devices using the adequate DisplayLink chip(set) can already support that resolution. Table available from http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/525038
Considering that displaylink is growing in our company we are facing more complications with Displaylink not working on particular models very well like MS surface devices. But it is also now happening to our Dell estate. So maybe DisplayLink can come with a logging tool so that when it is used it creates a dump which we can pass on to help get an answer from you quicker.1 vote
Hello, thank you for the suggestion. Here is a link to a tool gathering the machine details and logs for troubleshooting. It also packages it in a ZIP file, ready to communicate to technical support
Allow to not display the Display link icon in the icon tray. This could be done with a simple check box

Implemented since Windows 10 Anniversary Update where the icon would be added from the setup.exe but can be removed from startup. Icon would not be installed from Windows Update. Marking completed.
In the previous windows version DisplayLink7.5M1 the auto-hide of the taskbar applied across all screens. This no longer happens in the latest version DisplayLink7.9M2.1 vote
Now works as expected so marking completed. Thank you Gil!
I recently found out through a very circuitous process that my monitor is failing. But in this process, instead of alerting me to any issue, the drivers would crash and the icon would disappear from my system tray, making me think your software was malfunctioning. Instead, such a crash should be caught with exception handling, and then alert the user there is a hardware malfunction.1 vote
We already try to gracefully restart whenever possible. You might encounter an unforeseen case not handled properly which would need crash dumps to be investigated.
Useful if you published the TEAM ID and KERNEL EXTENSION BUNDLE ID for enterprise deployment. We can track it down but it would be nice to have that information included and easily visible. Thanks.1 vote
This is already documented in our macOS corporate deployment article here: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/820758
