Windows 10 with 7.9M3 (Yoga 900)
When windows 10 with 7.9M3 on a yoga 900 goes to sleep and is connected to the dock, it doesn't come back.
Also, if I unplug the dock when the laptop sleeps, when I wake it up nothing works anymore.

Linux kernel version 4 unsupported.
Just tried building the displaylink driver using the displaylink-installer.sh on my Fedora Rawhide machine and look at the results!
./displaylink-installer.sh -?
DisplayLink Linux Software 1.0.68 install script called: -?
Distribution discovered: "Fedora release 24 (Rawhide)"
Unsatisfied dependencies. Missing component: Kernel version 4.2.0-0.rc5.git3.1.fc24.x86_64 is too old. At least 3.14 is required.
This is a fatal error, cannot install DisplayLink Linux Software.Hmm, 4 is older than 3!?!? Who Knew?!?! Need to fix the script.

Make DisplayLink drivers work with suspend on Ubuntu
My DisplayLink-attached screen went awry after resuming from suspend, and I see that it's a known issue. Not being able to use suspend on a laptop is a major loss of functionality for me.
3 votesThis should now be working with Ubuntu release version 1.2

Bring back the forum link under Driver Downloads.
This product poses difficulties on nearly all platforms and your users need a place to discuss this and collaborate. Your attempt to remove the forums (that still exist at http://www.displaylink.org/forum/) has not gone unnoticed, and at face value appears to be a step in the wrong direction.
From the top of this page: "However members of the DisplayLink team are active on the DisplayLink Forum, where your question may already be answered."

Update Monitors Page
http://www.displaylink.com/shop/monitors
Many of the displaylink monitors listed on your page are no longer available. Can you mark them as such to make it easier for your customers?
Also, wouldn't it make sense to include the monitor SIZE in each description instead of making your customers search for them?
3 votesThanks for the reminder. The monitors page is now updated to remove products that were no longer available.
We are looking at a redesign of the shop at the moment to allow product searches and adding a monitor size is something we could do at this point. -
Use GPU rendering to lower CPU usage
Can we access the GPU to take advantage of OpenGL, etc, to avoid the heavy CPU (and laptop battery) usage?
3 votesDisplayLink software already checks the CPU and GPU resources available on a platform and uses these to provide the best user experience possible.
This is why some compatibility issues can be resolved by updating to the latest graphics drivers available for your primary graphics card,

Don't require drivers to be installed for disabled display adapters
I have a machine with an integrated display adapter and a PCI adapter running Windows 10. The integrated controller is not supported by Windows 10 and I have disabled it using device manager (I don't have an option to disable it in BIOS). When I attempt to install the DisplayLink core software, it re-enables the disabled adapter and then tells me it cannot install the software because there are no drivers for the adapter that I had disabled.
2 votesThis is implemented on Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards.

3 Monitor Support on Chrome OS
As DisplayLink support is not embedded in the ChromeOS 51 build and later, you should add 3+ monitor support for ChromeOS. At this point someone would only be able to run it off of a Chromebook/Chromebox with higher ram (8-16GB+). But adding this support would mean A LOT more business use cases being satisfied.
1 voteDisplayLink imposes no limit on the number of DisplayLink enabled displays that can be connected on Chrome OS from R51 onwards.
Any limitations found will be OS restrictions rather than something added by DisplayLink.

Program removing desktop icons!
I wrote the program removes desktop icons into a side window. You wrote it does not. I uninstalled your software and got my icons back on my desktop. I want you to cease attempting to reinstall your software. I will NOT accept your software on my computer!
1 voteOur software is not made to modify the desktop icons. We suggest you enter a support ticket so we can look if our software is indeed the culprit as the icons might have been moved by windows to another desktop, your primary screen.

Monitors randomly blacking out - SOLVED
If your monitors are blacking out using your DisplayLink D3100 check your chair.
I was having issues with my dual monitors randomly blacking out. After updating s/w, drivers and replacing the D3100 nothing worked.
As strange as it sounds, I was finally able to determine the cause was my chair. I have documented this in two videos.
1 voteThe alternative could be to use better EMI immunised cables. These usually have ferrite beads which help eliminate transients.

Widescreen 21:9
Support for 21:9 Display resolution
1 voteDisplayLink technology doesn’t have any restriction on layout or aspect ratio. I suggest you open a technical support case with your details with tecnhical_enquiries at displaylink, com to check that you don’t hit a hardware limitation from your adapter.
