Instead of simply crashing, alert the user to a monitor hardware malfunction
I recently found out through a very circuitous process that my monitor is failing. But in this process, instead of alerting me to any issue, the drivers would crash and the icon would disappear from my system tray, making me think your software was malfunctioning. Instead, such a crash should be caught with exception handling, and then alert the user there is a hardware malfunction.
1 voteWe already try to gracefully restart whenever possible. You might encounter an unforeseen case not handled properly which would need crash dumps to be investigated.

Fix What Fall Creator's Update Breaks
Fix Win10 Fall Creator's Update breaking software config of dock software. Win10 update uninstalled dock drivers. I saw a 1-second announcement in lower right corner of screen when Win10 update finished installing that displaylink driver was uninstalled. So far graphics functionality restored but audio stutters upon slightest load on computer if routed through dock. Zero issues with dock several months ago before windows updates.

Create the ability to defined "docked" vs "undocked" profiles for the USB docking station
In older versions of Windows there use to be a capability to have different profiles for a "docked" PC and an "unlocked" PC. This would be a great capability for you to add into your product since it is now a corporate mandate.
My main issue is that I set up my desktop the way I like it and then when I either connect the USB or disconnect the USB all my settings are lost and I can't find my desktop icons anymore. This is a negative impact on my productivity.

We are aware that installing macOS release Version 10.13.4 will cause DisplayLink connected displays to go blank after the OS upgrade, with the current DisplayLink driver [4.1] installed. Functionality such as Ethernet and audio, where implemented, is unaffected. We have alerted Apple to this issue and are working hard to find a resolution. These features continue to work as expected in 10.13.3.
In the meantime, we are releasing a new driver [4.3] that will enable clone mode, but not mirror or extended mode displays in 10.13.4. If you require mirror or extended mode displays, we recommend that you stay on macOS 10.13.3 at this time.
We understand that this loss of functionality on OS upgrade is potentially disruptive for our users and customers. Please be assured that this issue has the highest business priority in DisplayLink. We thank you for your patience and will provide an update on this situation,…

Fix some applications not running on laptop GPU
Hi since the Windows 10 Anniversary update games or utilities i have in Steam valve dont seem to use the GPU on my laptop but instead use intel graphic the laptop i have is a Lenovo Y50
69 votesThe change is needed in the operating system kernel mode graphics driver. Microsoft is looking into scheduling this development. In the meantime, provided you have purchased a platform allowing you to, the workaround is to disable the low end GPU so Windows uses the only one left. Today, Windows will always use the POST graphics card.

Support f.lux on Windows
Flux will reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the screen which aids going to bed. As it stands, there is no support for color calibration to DisplayLink connected monitors. DCC/CI commands are supported, but there are issues that make it not a viable solution (http://superuser.com/questions/257606/is-there-a-work-around-to-configure-brightness-or-color-on-a-displaylink-monitor).
809 votesf.lux latest releases have enabled support for DisplayLink indirect displays (Windows 10)
You can download f.lux from https://justgetflux.com/For the few wanted to do real monitor calibration, please contact technical_enquiries@displaylink.com to discuss how to enable this on your particular configuration.

Support for Dell XPS in Ubuntu 16.10
It seems to me that many people are reporting instability issues for Ubuntu 16.10 using the latest 1.2.65 driver. Severe instabilities occur for certain types of hardware that was supported in Ubuntu 16.04.
I have a Dell XPS 13 (9343) and DL-3100. The screen keeps disappearing and re-appearing. It happens really randomly and sometimes many times per minute, other times it might be once per 20 minute. The displays go to black and everything crashes. It crashes often, but not always. This makes the applications stuck to that display crash as well. It is very poor performance (lag/hanging/high CPU usage)…

Ubuntu drivers eating a lot of CPU. Not always but at least 50% of the times
I have actually a very slow PC because of this:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
1541 root 20 0 2343424 51804 2624 S 111.9 1.4 198:49.14 DisplayLinkMana
in other words, DisplayLinkMana(ger) eats a lot of CPU. from 50 to more than 100%sometimes not.
I think this is an issue, that should be fixed.
Thank you.
